Annie Reading 'Chicka Chicka Boom Boom'
For you didn't notice, at times Garrett will correct Annie while she was reading it :)
I will have to video tape Garrett reading it to!
And when it goes 'black eyed P' It was SUPPOSED to go 'and black eyed P, and Q R S and loose tooth T' but Annie thought the q was a p so she skipped it :P

Muddy Madness!
We played in the mud, and wanted to scare Katelyn!
Here are some steps to do to scare your family on a rainy day
Here are some steps to do to scare your family on a rainy day
Step 1, make mud
Step 2, remove shirt (You do not HAVE to do this step :P)
Step 3, cover every visible part of your body in mud :)
Step 5, clean up time.
Well the good news is, we had a blast! the bad news is..we didn't scare Katelyn..But that is only because little Nate went crying to Katelyn, because we scared him (we didn't mean to)
And make sure it is raining, or the mosquitoes will get you!
(They got us :P)

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt
3 cups rolled ("old-fashioned") oats
12 ounces (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips**or less
Instructions:
1. Cream butter, sugars, egg and vanilla with electric mixer on high.
2. Stir in flour, salt, and baking soda, all at the same time. Stir in oats. Last, add chocolate chips and stir them in (or use clean hands, if the dough is too stiff).
3. Press cookie dough into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Dough should be somewhat flattened, but it's okay for some cracks to remain. Ü
4. Bake at 350 degress for 30-35 minutes (in our oven it bakes for closer to 25), or until lightly golden and cookies are set in the middle.
5. Cool for 20 minutes and cut into squares. Delicious warm or cold!

First day of school!
So we started school yesterday! We are doing math, grammar, spelling, reading (a lot!), our reading test thing, and we are studying like...Missionaries and stuff, so yeah.
.
.
DAD LOCKED THE CAR AND TOOK THE KEYS! AND OUR MATH IS IN THE CAR!!!! No math!
(well for today at least...)
Here are some pictures. I'm in charge of working with the littles :)
Our theme of the week is apples, and the letter we are working on is 'P' In this picture we are playing a game where you get these cards that are numbered 1to8 and flip them over, then we printed out a tree with 100 apples on it, the kids were taking turns by flipping over a card,
and whatever number the pick is how many apples they need to color in, and we play until we colored in ALL of the apples
Annie was so proud of folding blanket by herself
And here is our schedule :) Good luck trying to read it...Isn't the BEST picture :P You can click on it to see it better.
