How He Loves By John Mark Mcmillan/David Crowder Band {One of my FAVORITE songs!}

This is a WONDERFUL song!! I love it SO much! Here is the story behind 'How He Loves'

One night during a prayer meeting, a youth pastor was praying and said, "Lord, I would give my life today if it would shake the youth of the nation. " Later that night, he died in a car accident. John Mark McMillian, a friend of his, soon after his death, became a youth leader and then a youth pastor. Nearly three years later, McMillian wrote this song. McMillian believes that God's gonna use this song and this story to shake the youth of the nation.

LYRICS

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us oh
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are,
And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us oh,
Oh how He loves us,
How He loves us all

He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

And we are His portion and He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If His grace is an ocean, we’re all sinking.
And heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don’t have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way…

That He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.
Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves.

Yeah, He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh how He loves us,
Oh ow He loves us.

  2. I cried when i watched John Mark McMillan in a video for the first time explaining how this song came to be (about a year ago) and i still cry every time i watch it! I love this song for a lot of reasons. Not just because of the story behind it. But because no matter where you hear that song, or when you hear it, you can always feel how close God is. It's like when that song plays, God's presence fills you. And that's the way it should be. We should be filled with God's love and His peaceful presence. But we get so distracted with the things of this world to where it seems like the only place we can find God is in a church service. When really, He is with us wherever we are. He never leaves us or forsakes us.
Sorry this was kinda long :P

Yeah, I can walk. But not for a long time. I have to lay down alot. Cause sitting puts pressure on the vertibraes that are crunched together. lol.
